24th Inter-Club Balut Competition Round 3

Wednesday, 16 July 2008

Singapore Cricket Club, 7pm

It was an eventful night as the SRC baluteers rattled dice in their shakers. Round 3 of the 24th Inter-Club Balut Competition bore witness to the strengths of our players as they pitted themselves against Balut players from other participating clubs. Besides competing, it was clear that the participants from the different clubs took the opportunity to mingle and get to know one another.

In a nutshell, the results witnessed Terence Shepherdson getting the dice rolling with two prizes – a spot prize of 4x6s in One Throw and achieving the highest aggregate with a whopping 684 points! Eddie Tessensohn also won himself a prize as he scored a low individual score of 48 points in a single game.

The full results of the evening were as follows:

National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) Team 2 – 2,459 points

NUSS Team 1 – 2,431 points

Singapore Town Club (STC) Team 1 – 2,415 points

(SRC Team 3 was 1 point shy from getting the third spot for the night with 2,414 points.)

On a side note, one of our strong players, G Prakash is in the running for the Overall Champion spot for the Highest Aggregate as he leads the pack with a total personal score of 1,865 points! And, with the highest aggregate score under his belt, Terence Shepherdson will be winning himself a prize if nobody beats his highest single column score in the final round.

SRC Team 1 (with the alliance of Irene Quek, Patrick Ng, Andrew Goh and G Prakash) resided in the second position with a total score of 7067 points, trailing behind Tanglin Club 2 by 25 points, who is at the top after the third round with an overall team score of 7,092 points.

Till the final round… Endeavour, fellow SRC Baluteers!
